    CLINICAL SUPERVISOR  
     


Supervisor for Intensive Applied Behavior Analysis Programs for Children with Autism ages 18 months to 8 years of age. Positions in Northern California: The Greater Sacramento area (including Elk Grove) and Central Valley (Stockton, Modesto, Turlock, Tracy). Position may be center-based and/or in-home.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of intensive intervention including program design and modification, data collection and analysis, parent training and staff training. Prepare progress reports for funding agencies and serve as a liaison to schools and regional centers. Meet with Directors to review progress; collaborate in clinical staff meetings.

Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.

  1. Experience and training in all aspects of Applied Behavior Analysis including discrete trial methodologies, incidental teaching, prevention and management of behavior problems, performing functional analyses, and teaching self-management.

  2. Experience in training parents and staff in the use of applied behavior analytic procedures.

  3. Experience and training in the design and implementation of generative programming including delivery and modification of published Direct Instruction programs

  4. Formal training in legal requirements and professional ethics

  5. Experience and training in providing intensive behavior analytic intervention to young children with autism spectrum disorders

  6. The position requires good writing, communication and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to work as a member of a clinical group

  7. Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA) or eligible for exam (preferred)

  8. Demonstrated ability or interest in integrating research activities with clinical responsibilities (preferred)

    CLINICAL ASSISTANT  
     


The Clinical Assistant is a training position that prepares qualified individuals for the Clinical Supervisor position. This position is designed to enhance the programs of clients of The Kendall School and Therapeutic PATHWAYS, as well as promote the professional development of selected individuals. Clinical Assistants, with appropriate supervision and guidance, perform many of the components, which comprise the Clinical Supervisors' domain of responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Special Education, Child Development, Communication, or related field

  2. Prior supervised experience delivering direct treatment to young children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis

  3. Formal college level coursework in behavior analysis

  4. Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst® (BCABA) or eligible to sit for exam (preferred)

  5. Enrollment (or interest) in obtaining a graduate degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or Speech and Language (preferred)

    INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANTS  


Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Have completed some college course work (desirable if currently enrolled in classes in Psychology, Special Education, or Speech Pathology)

  • Possess valid California Driver's License

  • Completed fingerprint check

  • Sign Confidentiality and Abuse Reporting Statements

  • Implement programs under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor

  • Participate in inservices every 8-12 weeks

  • Attend bi-monthly clinical meetings

  • Receive "live" supervision and sign release form for videotaping

  • Are encouraged to advance professionally through a system which models and rewards growth in skills, expertise and knowledge

  • Carry professional liability insurance

  • Are "at will" employees of Therapeutic PATHWAYS

  • Demonstrate minimum competencies before working independently
